PARENTS, STUDENTS, & TEACHERS' RELATIONSHIP

It is not news that FIA does not advertise for new intakes on, television or radio like most schools do. This is not because the school cannot afford it, rather it would be right to say that the relationship that exists between the parents, students and teachers has evolved into FIA as a family. Parents, and students that have graduated from the school, do the adverts. Most new intakes come for enquiry via recommendations from parents that have their wards currently in FIA or have graduated.
FIA as a school treats concerns and requests of parents with regards to their children as top priority to ensure that the needs of students are met to a reasonable extent in the course of their learning experience.

DISCIPLINE/MORALS

FIA in partnership with parents is unrelenting when it comes to instilling discipline in our students. In FIA, there are no sacred cows. There is enforcement of school rules and regulations at all levels. Lateness to school, defaulting in doing assignments, inappropriate dress code etc. are seriously frowned at, and attracts punitive measures which sometimes include sending the student home.
We have also recorded some cases where some students were expelled from school for certain offenses, regardless of their parents or guardian's status. This was geared towards teaching the students certain consequences of unruly behavior. In this, FIA reinforces our belief in not allowing one bad egg spoil the rest.

ACADEMICS

This is a very important ingredient which FIA does not treat with levity. The school's pride is in raising students that can stand on their own any day and anywhere to defend their academic ability. At all levels starting from tests (continuous assessment) to external exams, FIA students are taught and encouraged to write their exams by themselves, hence zero tolerance for any form of exam malpractice. In order to ensure that students are taught well, the school insists on employing teachers that are suitably qualified in fields related to the subjects for which they have been engaged to teach. The idea of one person teaching so many subjects outside his/her core area of expertise as is observed in some private schools, is not obtainable in FIA. FIA adheres to the curriculum as recommended by the ministry of education at all levels, to ensure that the students are properly equipped with the required knowledge and skill sets for the outside world. The success story of FIA cannot be written completely without acknowledging the great strides taken in all walks of life, by students that have graduated from this noble institution.
